The Gospel of Thomas: For spiritual seekers and those dissatisfied with the teachings of the established church, the Gospel of Thomas collection is a series of spiritual writings that provide unique explanations and insights into Jesus’ teachings in the Gospel of Thomas.
Discovered in a library hidden for over 1,500 years, the Gospel of Thomas reveals spiritual teachings of Jesus. They provide an inward certainty and joyousness based on a timeless tradition of truth which was omitted from orthodox Christian dogma. It consists of sayings attributed to Jesus before 52AD that pre-date the books and epistles of the New Testament. The Gospel reveals the spiritual teachings of Jesus in their purest form.

Most of my adult life I have looked around at most every political and social issue and asked myself, “Why don’t I have a strong opinion on that subject?”
Without going into my life’s background which includes the normal, average, go-to-church every Sunday, midwest experiences, I think it boils down to four general one-liners.
I’m a male – and it doesn’t affect me, not my problem.
I’m a male – and I don’t have to worry about that, let the female do that.
I’m a male – and it would require reading and following directions and all that stuff which I don’t do well.
I’m a male – I have so many more important things to do, like competing, fighting, making money or sitting in front of TV.
Well, somewhere along the line I began to change and began to think.
A recent story published on ChristianPost.com uses the headline above, with the subhead of, “Some Say New Book is a 4,000-Year Upgrade of Religion.”
In the news story, author R. Leigh Coleman writes, “University of Hawaii’s neuroscientist and philosopher Bruce E. Morton promises a personal transformation for those who read his new book, Neuroreality: A Scientific Religion to Restore Meaning, or How 7 Brain Elements Create 7 Minds and 7 Realities.”

Because I have grown up in a Christian environment that is bible based, I often pray the Lord’s Prayer, when I want to begin to leave the mundane and focus on the spiritual.
What would a Gnostic’s prayer be?
No answers are wrong……..I just want to know what you guys would think.
Lets say a friend has a son that gets put in jail for a long time, and you want her to be comforted, or something like that.
How would you pray about it? Would you even pray?
My old prayers dont seem to work if God is within me? Do I pray to myself?
Just interested in what you all might think.
